When my daughter was in college, 10 years ago, she spent a year as a travel student in japan. One day she lost her cell phone while traveling to Tokyo. She never thought she would see it again. Shortly thereafter, someone found the phone on the train that my daughter had travelled on,and 3 weeks later, this person delivered it to my daughter's apartment! It is sad to say but things like this don't happen in this country anymore. My daughter fell in love with the people and culture of Japan and remembers her time there with fondness. She used to say that each time she flew home, she always knew when the airline changed from Japanese to American. She said she never knew how rude Americans were until she met the Japanese.
